Sculpture

I gather dead wood to slowly transform it back to life, to be seen in a gallery and appreciated for its unexpected beauty.

 

I scan my studio full of tree slivers and slices, look around at the coiled grapevines, curved branches, dried leaves until suddenly a few intriguing shapes seem to float in air and form unexpected compositions.

 

The logs, limbs and leaves reassemble themselves before my eyes till they become creatures and creations combined with my photos and videos.
